The Best Tips to Identify Scam Products
Purchasing a scam product always makes us feel irritating and angry because the money we invest is not repaid adequately. Therefore, we need to learn how to identify the scam products and eliminate all of those fraudsters from the market. If you are sick of devoting your money to fake products, this article should definitely not be missed.
What can you do to avoid fraudsters?
Verifying the identity of the salesperson
Do you receive an offer from a company that you have never had any contact with?
In that case, you should do everything you can to find out information about that company and ask yourself why they have your number. There are two steps you can apply:
- Step 1: Ask the caller or salesperson of that company to provide some data which only they know, such as your details of contact information or bank account. If they can show you all of those, how they got your number, and you trust them, you can stop at this step.
- Step 2: If you are still suspicious, just hang up. Then, call into that company’s number with another phone. If that number is correct and you receive the same information from another person, this company is probably legitimate and the products they are selling you are not scam.
Being aware if the deal is too good
“It’s too good to be true.” That is a common saying, isn’t it? However, it is true to some extent. When you see that the product being offered guaranteeing a much higher ROI than usual and does not require much financial commitment, it’s highly a scam.
Taking a deep consideration when you are under pressure
What I mean “pressure” is the force from the salesperson or the company. True salesmen always allow you to have spare time to think and make your decision. On the contrary, fraudsters usually tend to squeeze the time and rush you to buy their product.
So be careful not to be fooled.
Checking the product you want to buy
This section will be applied when you actively buy some products. In my experiences, you can pay attention to three online categories:
The government of each country often publishes a list of which products are registered and which ones are not. You can examine your product’s number or certification to make sure it is approved by appropriate authorities.
· Producers’/Vendors’ website
Every legitimate manufacturer, whether small, medium, or large-sized, has their business license and trademark. And they usually publish those on their website along with signs for customers to identify legit products. You can check to find out and avoid scammers.
Besides the government’s and manufacturer’s data, other purchasers are also a great source to verify whether the product you want to buy is scam. And it is not so difficult to discover what they think with info-explosion era nowadays and rating websites’ popping like mushrooms. Yelp, Amazon, or Yellow pages are some examples.
Checking the package
If you have fulfilled all of the previous sections with your product and see no problem, it is probably a great product. Nevertheless, in case you are hypercritical, there are two characteristics that you should notice when receiving the package:
Legitimate enterprises always want their products to look best and most attractive to customers. Therefore, they always ensure the quality of the package and what is printed on it. If you see any grammatical or spelling mistakes, you need to set a suspicious question in your mind immediately..
Fraudsters often cannot imitate all of the details that original producers make. Therefore, the product you buy will likely be a scam if the package design is too simple. If there is too little information, incorrect serial number, no brand name, nutrition information, net weight, and so on, you can start a process of examination right away.
Those are some of my experiences in classifying the scam products. I hope that those can help you discover which ones you should buy and which one you should not. If you have any questions about this topic, do send me. I will be glad to reply.
